President asks Kabafunzaki to step down as bribery trial proceeds

President Museveni has ordered state minister for labour, Herbert Kabafunzaki, to step aside pending his trial on corruption related charges just hours after resuming his ministerial duties.
President Museveni has ordered state minister for labour, Herbert Kabafunzaki, to step aside pending  his trial on corruption related charges just hours after resuming his ministerial duties.
The Executive  Director of the Uganda Media center, Ofwono Opondo confirmed the development.
Earlier, Bruce Lubowa, one of those arrested with State Minister Herbert Kabafunzaki on Saturday on suspicion of bribery and corruption was denied bail before the anti-corruption court sitting in Kampala.
